War of the Planet of the Apes (2017)

Every film in the rebooted Planet of the Apes series changes drastically to some extent with the shift in tone from film to film being one of its more apparent traits. While the first two films revolve around the origins of the "Simian Flu", this film seeks to continue where Dawn left off.

Seeing as though that the tone of this film in comparison to the other films I've reviewed is darker, it's easier to summarize my thoughts as follows:
- Gorilla Warfare is one of the films primary themes so if you're into war films definitely watch it
- The team behind this film definitely didn't Monkey around especially with the cinematography. There are so many stills worth framing from here and down below's one of my favorites.
- For a movie as dark as it was, you'd be Bananas if you didn't chuckle at some point in the film.
- Rocket looks like Kevin Hart (idk why but the resemblance was too much for me)

The most majestic thing I've seen recently

Final Verdict
9/10

It has stunning visuals and Woody Harrelson's portrayal was brilliant but like most war films, it does seem to drag on at some points. Also, if you didn't follow the previous films, you'd feel slightly left out with the previous plot and worldbuilding established. Watch it if you can because you'll get your money's worth but for me, if you had to choose between monkey's swinging and Spiderman swinging, go with Spiderman for this week.
